The 2009 China Real Estate Seminar and Annual Meeting of Real Estate Academicians hosted by China Association of Real Estate Academicians(CAREA) and the Economic Research Journal was held in Lingnan college(University) , Sun Yat-Sen University on May 29-30,2009.Over 160 academicians attended the meeting .A total of 142 papers were selected by the Seminar, involving a variety of topics such as  the real estate price and the market operation rule ,the Land management and land market, the housing policy and housing problem, the evaluation of government intervention, the urbanization and urban development , the real estate investment and finance , the law of real estate industry development ,the real estate valuation and related issues ,the development of real estate discipline , the real estate practice research , etc.

On the morning of May 29, professor Wu Lifan, the president of the Seminar and the dean of Lingnan (University),presided over a grand opening ceremony. Huang Daren ,the president of Sun Yat-Sen University , gave a warm speech in the opening ceremony.

Professor Liao Junping, the 2009 Executive Chairman of CAREA and the director of Real Estate Research Center of Lingnan College ,chaired the keynote speech presentation session after the opening ceremony . Dr. Song Chunhua ,the president of China Real Estate Association and former vice Minister of Construction ,gave a report titled playing a pillar industry role and expanding consumption demand ,explaining the current government policy in the real estate industry and putting forward his views. The former chief editor of Economic Research Journal , researcher Liu Shucheng made a report titled forecasting analysis on Chinese macroeconomic, reviewing  the current global economic situation and Chinese macroeconomic trends. The director of the institute of Real Estate studies,Tsinghua University, Professor Liu Hongyu made a speech titled the development of real estate discipline and education, discussing issues related to real estate education improvement.

The chief of Real Estate Market Supervision Division Chen Jianzhong, the Chief of Housing Reform and Development Division Jun Feng, the chief of Housing Reserve Fund Supervision Division Zhang Qiguang paid a special trip to the Seminar. The deputy editor of  Economic Research journal Zheng Hongliang, deputy editor Wang Cheng, vice president Zhang Shan attended the whole meeting. The Deputy Secretary of Guangzhou Land Resources and Housing Authority attended the opening ceremony.
